Inscription on the wall of the Vestry in Chawton Church, Hampshire:-

In Memory of
CASSANDRA ELIZABETH
AUSTEN
daughter of the late
Reverend George Austen,
Rector of Steventon
in this County.
Died 22nd March 1845. Aged 72.
Being justified by Faith we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom.V.1

In Wymering Church, Hampshire – an alabaster tablet
was erected in 1931 in the recess near the seat which
the Admiral used to occupy, with the inscription:-

In Memory of
SIR FRANCIS WILLIAM AUSTEN
G.C.B. Admiral of the Fleet.
One of Nelson's Captains.
Born at Steventon Rectory 1774
Died at Portsdown 1865.
