... calling her 'Aunt George', and not 'Aunt Louisa' – I believe that was the fashion of her time. She also wished us to call him 'Uncle Austen', but that we never did!'

The Rev. George Austen died June 13th 1903, at the age of 90 – and was buried in Redhill Churchyard. (Epitaph page 252)

'Francis was at one time in my father's (John Henry Hubback) office in Liverpool. He used to come often to our house, my sister and I remember him very well – (I must have been about ten then.) He went out to India to a business firm (Messrs. Benn, Ashley, & Co. of Bombay) became ill there, and came home to die, in 1885. We were all very sad at this, he was much beloved.'

He died unmarried, August 20th 1885, and was buried in Redhill Churchyard. (Epitaph page 253)
