She died November 19th 1942, and was buried at Barfreystone.

Born December 12th 1821, at Ryde, Isle of Wight.
She kept house for her father, Sir Francis William Austen, at Portsdown Lodge, Portsmouth, after the death of his second wife, in 1843.
She died unmarried, at Barfreystone (where she was buried) in March 1904. (Epitaph page 255)
'My father (John Henry Hubback) often spoke of his Aunt Fanny and I remember his going from Heswall to her funeral in 1904.'

Sir Francis William Austen married, secondly, July 24th 1828, Martha, eldest daughter of the Rev. Nowes Lloyd, Rector of Hinton. She died at Portsdown Lodge, January 24th 1843.
